2+3, the Artists Organization

 

2 + 3 The Artists’ Organization is a juried group of professional visual artists who work in a wide variety of two- and three-dimensional media. During the 18 years of the organization’s existence the membership has been required to meet specific commitments in order to maintain the group’s quality and strength.

Active member requirements are:

1. Active participation on one committee.
2. Exhibition in the group shows.
3. Updating of resume, slides and support materials in files.
4. Payment of a minimum of $60.00 annual dues.
5. Active participation in the group.

If you are interested in being considered for membership, please mail the following items to the following address by November 1 (FIRM, NO EXCEPTIONS) of each year.

  1. A sheet of ten slides of works completed in the last three years. Mark slides with numbers to correspond with an attached slide sheet with name, title, size, media, and an arrow to indicate top right hand corner.

  2. A self-addressed, stamped envelope for the return of slides.

  3. Completed slide identification page.

  5. Letter of interest to include why you would like to become a member, and what you believe you can add to the group.

  6. A non-refundable jurying fee of $20.00 made payable to: 2+3 The Artists Organization.

Jurying will be held once a year in November. All slides will be shown anonymously with artistic excellence being the prime criteria for acceptance into the organization. We urge you to submit your very best slides, fill in the forms completely and please print or type your responses. Do not send support materials. You will be judged only by your slides, resume and letter of interest. If you have any questions or need further information call Pat Rosenstein at 954.963.4629.

Results of the jurying will be mailed by mid-November of each year. In the meantime, feel free to attend a meeting. They are free and open to the public, unless we have planned a special event. You may call Pat Rosenstein, Membership Chairman, or any 2+3 member that you know for date, time and place of our meetings.
