Betty Usdan Zwickler is an award-winning, nationally exhibited artist who is recognized for her strong color sensibilities and creative diversity. She has been active in the South Florida art world for more than 20 years, having participated in well over 100 exhibitions, solo, juried and invitational.

Zwickler is a former gallery owner and juried member of several prestigious art organizations including the National Association of Women Artists based in New York City and Florida. She is also an alumna of the ArtCenter/South Florida on Lincoln Road, South Beach. She has served as a Board Member of 2 + 3 and the Miami Chapter of Women's Caucus for Art and is currently the Vice-President of the N.A.W.A. Florida Chapter. Additionally, she is a member of the Gold Coast Watercolor Society. She has been a juror, curator and lecturer.

Zwickler's paintings from the "Portrait of a Family Series" embody the anguished experiences of her 1972 divorce, the relationships of her second family and the AIDS death of a stepson. "The 20 powerful works created are the Florida artist's reflection on a troublesome period in her life. With echoes of Pablo Picasso and Egon Schiele in style and palette, the paintings depicting Zwickler's life vary in size and technique," wrote Candice Russell, City Link, Sun Sentinel, Fort Lauderdale, FL, January 23, 2002.

“Zwickler's works are a pure example of how an artist's personal experiences can result in provocative art expression. Here we have the artist's own traumatic experience transformed into great artworks," noted Dr. Kyra Belan, Broward Community College Art Professor and Art Gallery Director. The Miami Herald. Broward Extremely Local, February 3, 2002.
