Pat Rosenstein studied graphic design at Pratt Institute of Art in New York and received a B.F.A. at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. After many years as a commercial artist, she began to paint fulltime.

She has had 17 one-person shows in the New England and Southeast regions in museums and galleries and has received 28 awards in national and international competitions, including 15 Best of Shows. She is currently represented by International Images Gallery in Pennsylvania.

Pat Rosenstein paints in the super realistic style of Tromp L'oeil (fool the eye). Her meticulously painted images simulate the textures and surfaces of her still life subjects. Wood looks real, stone looks rough. The terrycloth of a rag has softness, volume and a velvety appearance. Shadows cleverly define space, making objects appear to float above or recede into the canvas. Her subjects are the visual magic of illusion, a realistically painted surrealistic world.

The artist does Tromp L'oeil on commission.
