"My artwork comes through me, not from me. I'm the vehicle in which the creative process takes over and fulfills itself."

Eydi Lampasona is a recognized artist who has received many national and international awards for her mixed media works. Eydi's uniqueness lies in the transformation of everyday objects such as decayed industrial artifacts, textiles, paint, discarded consumer products and mass media sources. These materials have a prior history to be rediscovered through a formalistic decision-making process. Texture, strong composition, and design are all crucial elements in her creations. By scratching, indentation and decollage applications, she invites the viewer to react in a contemplative manner. Exploration of mark-making and deconstruction/rebuilding allows her work to evolve to its completion. The unexpected and undiscovered become pivotal points that mold the scheme of the creative process.

Eydi is a signature member of the National Collage Society, the International Society of Experimental Artists, and the Society of Layerists in Multi-Media. Teaching is one of her strongest denominators, by helping students reach their expressive freedom and attain their maximum potential as artists. Eydi conducts art workshops nationally, and currently teaches classes at Boca Raton Museum of Art and the Coral Springs Museum of Art.
