Teacher, writer, photographer, playwright, and fine artist, Janet Gold graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Masters Degree in Art Education and an MFA from Miami International University of Art and Design.

She has taught for 29 years in Broward County, and was awarded 'Teacher of the Year' at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in 2000.

Janet has exhibited her work throughout the United States and abroad, and has had shows at the Fort Lauderdale Museum, Boca Museum of Art, Society of the Four Arts, and the New York Art Expo. A Cultural Consortium Fellowship recipient in 1999, Gold received the prestigious $15,000 Florida award. She has recently won awards in the National Association of Women Artists in both Florida and New York City exhibitions. She received awards for 'sculpture and 'small works.’

Her works are included in the collection of Time Inc., Bloomingdales, Wolf Kahn, Jackson Browne, and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. Gold is included in the Best of Florida Artists book 2006.
