Tobey Archer seeks to crystallize her vision into a timeless and universal environment by balancing and unifying contrasting elements. Her artwork is an invitation to an intriguing and unique experience permeated by a sense of peacefulness and joy. The interplay of light, whether fiber-optic, neon, created, or natural, energizes the design, creating a multicolored luminescent atmosphere and empowering the artwork with increased presence and visitility.

In Archer's public art and design work, she seeks to integrate her artwork into the environment it will occupy and humanize it. The work is site-specific, reflecting the space's function, surrounding community, cultural history, populations and environment.

The artist recently completed a 26,200 sq. ft. integrated design in the Great Hall at Port Everglades, Florida, where Princess Cruise Lines makes its home in Ft. Lauderdale. She has also created installations for Florida Atlantic University, Broward County Art in Public Places, Ft. Lauderdale Museum of Art and been invited to participate in many prestigious public arts projects, such as for Design Broward, a collaboration between architects, landscape architects, and artists to improve public spaces.

A more complete range of Ms. Archer's artwork can be seen in the recently published book, "Designing the World's Best Public Art."
